"Why I Believe Faith is Reasonable"

Each Sunday, our pastors share a message from God’s Word to inspire, encourage, and guide us in everyday life. To make it easier to follow along and reflect during the week, we provide sermon notes that you can download in English, Spanish, or Portuguese using the buttons on this page.

These notes are here to support you — whether you want to revisit key passages, think more deeply about the message, or talk it over with friends and family. Many find that keeping the notes close at hand helps them see things in a new light and make choices with greater clarity and confidence.

What does it mean to truly have faith? In a world that prizes evidence, logic, and reason, many see faith as blind — a leap into the dark. Yet Scripture reveals something far deeper: that biblical faith is not irrational, but the most reasonable response to a God who has already revealed Himself.

This Sunday, Dr. Owen Facey will guide us through Hebrews 11 — the great “faith chapter” — showing why faith is not wishful thinking or emotional optimism, but a confident trust built on the character and promises of God. From Abel to Abraham, the Bible shows that faith engages both heart and mind.

  • Faith connects us to a source greater than ourselves.
  • Faith walks with God even when the path is unclear.
  • Faith works for God with courage and obedience.
  • Faith waits for God’s timing with steadfast hope.

As Dr. Facey opens God’s Word, we’ll see that faith is not the rejection of reason — it’s reason anchored in revelation. It’s trusting what God has made known of Himself in creation, in Scripture, and ultimately in Christ.

We invite you to listen prayerfully and consider what it means to have a faith that both thinks and trusts — a faith that stands firm because it rests on truth. Below, you’ll find sermon notes in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to help you reflect and grow throughout the week.

Join us as we rediscover that real faith is not a leap into darkness — but a step into the light of a God who is utterly faithful.
